You'll often come across claims online about the "richest forex traders" in a given country, usually with specific names and dollar figures attached. We deliberately avoid repeating those claims here, since they are almost never independently verifiable and are frequently exaggerated to sell a course or signal service.
What Actually Separates Successful Traders
Instead of chasing unverified success stories, it is far more useful to understand the real habits shared by traders who genuinely last in this market:
- Disciplined risk management — protecting capital is prioritised over chasing every opportunity.
- A tested, written trading plan — followed consistently, not abandoned after a few losses.
- Realistic expectations — treating trading as a skill developed over years, not a shortcut to wealth.
- Continuous learning — markets evolve, and so must the trader.
- Emotional control — the ability to follow a plan under pressure, in both winning and losing streaks.
Be Skeptical of "Get Rich" Claims
If you come across a Zambian "trading guru" advertising a lavish lifestyle funded purely by forex profits, treat it with healthy skepticism, especially if they are simultaneously selling a paid course, signal group, or "mentorship". Genuine trading skill rarely needs to be marketed that way.
